How to Make Your Own Pop-Up Greeting Card

Pop-up greeting cards are a fantastic way to surprise and delight your loved ones. They’re easy to make and full of creative potential! Follow these steps to create your own memorable card:

Materials Needed:

  • arKIDect’s Printed card template (see below)
  • Scissors
  • Glue or double-sided tape
  • Markers, crayons, or stickers for decorating
  • Your favorite photo (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Print the Template
    • Print the pop-up card template provided below on a sturdy sheet of paper or lightweight cardstock.
  2. Cut Along the Dashed Lines
    • Carefully cut along the dashed lines in the design. These cuts form the pop-up sections of the card.
  3. Make it 3D

    • Gently fold the card in half. As you fold, make sure the pop-up sections bend inward to create the 3D effect.
  4. Decorate the Card
    • Add your own personal touches!
    • Design the outside cover for your loved ones with drawings, stickers, or glitter.
    • Inside the card, you can use the customizable frame to insert your favorite photo or write a heartfelt message.
  5. Assemble
    • Once you’re happy with your decorations, use glue or tape to secure any loose sections. Let everything dry if needed.

This year, I created festive Christmas and New Year cards using this method. Each card features a pop-up design and a customizable frame for adding a personal touch. Adding a photo makes it even more special!
